If you are a new entrant into the lucrative area of the electrician, then we have something specifically for you. At Gastec we have various packages of training on offer, and all carry the prestigious City & Guilds qualification title. The exact qualifications you require in order to carry out work as a domestic installer/electrician. The electrical training courses and qualifications we offer can take you from a complete novice, up to a level of practical competency and capabilities to achieve your own electrical installation abilities, all courses will have a fully accredited certification body certificate which you will need to further your chose career.
The New Entrant Package for electrical training will greatly beneficial if you are eventually seeking to undertake City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations which is the ultimate aim for electricians the qualification 2391, will allow you to be able to test the installations of others.
As part of the 15 days of Electrical training, you will be undertaking 4 separate electrical qualifications all of which will culminate with assessments and examinations, Gastec will see you taken through a variety of practical training tasks to ascertain your installation competencies this will help and assist you towards a hopefully successful outcome in your examinations:
The Gastec electrical training package is divided into 4 separate training modules as indicated above:
This is a 5 Day electrical course formulated by our electrical training team and has been designed to cover the practical criteria for domestic home installations, from the basic electrical knowledge required to enable you to achieve confidence and understanding of the modules through to giving you confidence and the ability to carry out electrical work unsupervised in a safe and efficient manner. The C&G 2392-10 is a level 2 qualification which is specifically aimed at budding electricians and others who have a limited or no experience in the use of test equipment, the module is structured and designed to prepare anyone who wish to progress to the City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate 2391-10. Which is a very rewarding qualification to aspire too.
The module is designed to run in tandem with the requirements for the CSkills Part P module. This method of training, guides you effortlessly towards the types of work you will be allowed to carry out in domestic dwellings in England & Wales.
This is a 5 Day module based on the requirements of the Building Regulations, and is applicable to domestic electrical work only, work that is allowable within the self certification scheme; this electrical module will be the Domestic Installer Scheme Qualification: CSkills/Napit Part P.
With this electrical module you will achieve recognition to self certify your own work carried out within a domestic dwelling to any governing body operating a self certification scheme such as the Nic or Napit etc. contained within the module, there is a mixture of practical and theory assessments, all of which are required within the criteria for building regulations.
This is a 3 day module and will underpin the knowledge and understanding you have in respects to wiring regulations within England & Wales, undertaking this electrical qualification is a requirement of any Part P Governing body that you can choose to register with. Successful completion of this qualification provides your selected self certification governing body with evidence that you have achieved a full understanding of electrical installation wiring requirements, and that you have gained total awareness with the layout, content and application of the BS 7671 (2008) 17th Edition Regulations.
This module gives you the knowledge to undertake the practical tasks required to test appliances and equipment that is a legally accountable to employers, employees and self-employed persons that need to comply with the Health & Safety at Work regulations, and to take reasonable and practical steps to ensure that no danger results from the use of electrical equipment, This module alone is a very useful addition for any electrician to hold.
