This course is designed to cover the training and assessment requirements for the UK Certification Part P Full Scope qualification.
Course Overview
This course is designed to cover the training and assessment requirements for the UK Certification Part P Full Scope qualification. It is aimed at candidates who carry out electrical installation work in domestic premises, such as extensions to existing sockets, electric showers etc.
Some electrical experience is advisable and you will be required to complete the EAL 18th Edition qualification, this will be required with this qualification for entry level criteria with self certification bodies such as Nic, Napit or ELECSA.
Written Assessments
There is an open book written assessment during the course.
Practical Assessments
This course will anticipate that candidates have an understanding of electrical theory: including the effects of resistances on cables, common electrical terminology, and common equations (including Ohms Law), etc, and how to work safely in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
Practical Tests
Practical test will include the following:
- Revision covering the 18th Edition wiring regulations (BS7671)
- Preparation for initial inspection and testing
- Inspecting, testing and certifying, using IEE Guidance Note 3
- Hands-on practical work with test equipment
- Practicing filling in the main standard certificates, forms and schedules
Course Schedule
This is a five days course which is inclusive of in-classroom assessment
Pre-Requisites
Course delegates must hold a current valid 18th Edition Certificate.
