Tests the gas safety competence of an operative in the work of all LPG fittings within a Residential Park Home

Course Assessment Options

This course offers is designed for anyone seeking Initial Assessment or Re-Assessment

Written Assessments

These consist of one open book written assessments. The Open Book assessments permit the use of approved reference material such as UK Certification manuals to obtain answers.

All two written assessments contain either multiple questions or true/false statements.

Practical Assessments

Work on:

  • LPG supply pressures
  • Operation of and positioning of emergency isolation, flow control and valves
  • LPG cylinder and vessel location, safety and sizing
  • Ventilation for appliances
  • Installation of pipework and fittings
  • Re-establish existing LPG supply and re-light appliances.

Practical Tests

Workshop activities on live pipework required

Course Schedule

This is a one day course which is inclusive of half day assessment

Proof of existing Gas Safe Registration for Reassessment, or 6 months registration with Gas Safe Register plus proof of working on appliance.

Eligibility

Candidates are split into three categories. Prerequisites to attend assessment are dependent on the category an operative falls into.

The exact category will depend on a range of factors based on past experience and prior accreditation and assessments
